DOMINO CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Weeks of December 16th and December 23rd, 2019

At Site A the ground floor through 42nd floor slabs are complete. The bulkheads for the building are complete. MEP trades will continue fit out work. Precast Facade erection is complete, except for the commercial hoist area of the commercial tower, which will remain open into the next calendar year. Interior fit outs continue in the commercial leg and the bridge. The Grand Street sidewalk has been poured but will remain behind a construction gate until the commercial lobby is opened within the month. The commercial lobby is expected to within the next couple of weeks. There are TCOs are in place and move in’s of the lower residential floors are occurring between 8 am and 5 pm. The commercial leasing team continues their leasing efforts.

The Refinery shoring work is complete. This consists of steel structures on the exterior to brace the existing brick façade during demolition. Interior demolition has begun and has reached the 4th floor of the building, working their way downward.

Construction of the Domino Park is complete. The park has opened and has entrances on Grand Street, South 3rd Street and South 5th Street.

The public park located on Site C is open 6 days a week

Precast Facade erection is complete except for the commercial hoist area. The remaining work will be completed in 2 shifts, one during daytime and a second from 3-10 pm. Interior fit outs have begun and framing and sheet rocking are working their way up the building. The South first Street sidewalk is set to be poured mid September, with the road opening around the same time. The Grand Street sidewalk will be poured in late September. The residential leasing office is now open, with a TUP and TPP in place. Residential lobby to be completed within the next week. The TCOs are expected to be in place by the end of the month.
