DOMINO CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Weeks of March 9th, 2020 and March 16th, 2020

At Site A the ground floor through 42nd floor slabs are complete. The bulkheads for the building are complete. MEP trades will continue fit out work in the commercial leg. Precast Facade erection is complete, except for the commercial hoist area of the commercial tower, which will remain open for the interior fit outs. The Grand Street sidewalk and the commercial lobby are open but overhead protection will remain until the hoist run has been filled in.

The Refinery shoring work is complete; this consists of steel structures on the exterior to brace the existing brick façade during demolition. Interior demolition has been completed on both the eastern and western side of the building.

The eastern portion of Site B is reserved for Refinery Construction staging; the remaining site area is open to the public until May 1 with the Brooklyn Museum’s public art being accessible to the public.

Construction of the Domino Park is complete. The park has opened and has entrances on Grand Street, South 3rd Street and South 5th Street.

The public park located on Site C is open 6 days a week
