Soot removal and asbestos abatement are ongoing inside the Boiler House stacks. Mechanical demolition will resume in the next 2 weeks. Preparations for interior hand demolition of The Refinery building are ongoing. A crane was installed on the north side of the property and is in the process of removing the Domino Sugar cranes along the East River.

Mobilization is occurring at “Site E”. Jersey barriers were installed along the Site E perimeter. Noise barrier/perimeter fence installation is occurring. Workers are excavating test pits to confirm the location of various utility lines. Weather permitting, excavation is planned to begin next week.
